I offer body centred supervision to Shiatsu practitioners and students, and other body workers.
Although not a professional requirement for most body workers, supervision can be an invaluable support in our work with clients.
My approach to supervising body workers is via the body. Learning how to deepen our relationship with the body’s internal language signals is essential. It brings awareness to the sort of client issues that push us out of our comfort zone or make us vulnerable. It guides us towards what it is that we need to reflect on and feel in order to stay soft, open, alive and sustainable in our work – it helps us to come back to the centre when we feel ungrounded or lost.
I teach shiatsu to undergraduate and postgraduate level, and give private tutorials to individual practitioners or small groups.
